Founded in 2012 by Carlos and his wife Michelle, Taipa started as a humble food truck in Kendall, Miami. Over the years, Taipa became a local favorite, known for its authentic Peruvian cuisine and generous portions, living up to the meaning of its name: “Well Served.” 

Now, Taipa Coral Gables marks a bold new chapter. After years of planning, Carlos and his childhood friend Yves Aliaga have brought their long-time vision to life. The Coral Gables location blends the authentic flavors of Taipa with a fresh, innovative approach, offering a more sophisticated and creative dining experience. Best Peruvian food since I visited Peru a few years ago. They've only been open a few months. Better enjoy it now before everyone else discovers it and you have to make a reservation. No guinea pig though.
